Just some of the things new members might like to know

 Privacy Policy

What age groups come on the walks?
All ages from about 35-75.  Most are in the middle range.

Do you just turn up and pay the £2 plus lunch if wanted?
Yes, just turn up .  Aim to be there ready to walk by 10am and allow time to pre order lunch if that has been requested.

How long are the walks roughly?
The walks vary but are usually about 4  to 5 miles. We give details of each walk on this web site. Once you join us, we can include you in our weekly e-mailing. The walk leader's mobile number is given if you have any questions.

Is it a dating agency?
Absolutely not.  Just a way of making new friends - and having a pleasant time on a good walk.

May I bring my dog?
Yes, providing you keep him or her on a  lead and make sure you have control at all times.  Pubs don't always let dogs in to the eating areas.

Do you get both men and women?
Yes although numbers of each vary on every walk.

Do I need walking boots?
Walking boots are certainly the most comfortable, safe and waterproof. Wellingtons are an option on wet days but give reduced grip. We don't advise normal shoes although trainers will be fine on dry summer days.

Shall I bring shoes to change into for lunch?
Yes, the walks are often muddy and pubs and restaurants prefer it if you do.

Do I have to come on the pub lunch?
No, the lunch is optional.  We do try to choose pubs that serve light snacks for those who prefer to eat their main meal in the evening and some walkers simply have a coffee or a drink.
